HF couples through near-field magnetic coupling, so it survives near metals and liquids far better than UHF, which is why it dominates transit and payment.
13.56 MHz is the same everywhere, simplifying cross-border deployments and card personalization.
Reading a full pallet or a conveyor of items without line-of-sight is UHF's home turf — supply chains rely on it.
UHF inlays are the lowest-cost option for item-level retail and postal tracking.
