Integrating chip placement, wire embedding and welding into a single platform is one of the most effective ways to shorten the RFID and smart card manufacturing cycle. ZOWINDA's all-in-one production machine brings these three core processes together, giving card manufacturers a compact, high-accuracy solution for producing contactless and dual-interface cards from raw inlay to finished module assembly.
Conventionally, chip attachment, antenna wire embedding and welding are performed on separate machines. Each transfer between stations requires precise registration, protective handling and additional floor space. An all-in-one architecture removes these transfers by carrying the workpiece through pick-and-place, wire embedding and welding modules on a single precision indexing system.
This integration is especially valuable for manufacturers producing dual-interface cards, where the chip module must align precisely with both contact pads and embedded antenna wires. By completing chip placement, wire laying and ultrasonic welding in one clamping cycle, the machine maintains tighter positional tolerances and reduces the risk of wire lift or pad contamination.
The first station uses a vision-guided pick-and-place head to place bare chips or pre-tested modules onto the card substrate. The second station embeds copper or aluminum antenna wire into the cavity or groove with controlled tension and depth. The final station applies ultrasonic or thermo-compression welding to create reliable electrical connections between the chip, wire and contact pads.
A centralized control system coordinates motion, vision and welding parameters, and real-time monitoring helps operators detect placement or welding faults before they propagate through the batch.
Smart Card All-in-One Production Machine — production unit
Vision-guided placement head handles bare dies and modules with micron-level repeatability for contact and contactless cards.
Tension-controlled wire feed and groove-forming tooling produce consistent antenna loops for HF and UHF inlays.
Programmable weld force, time and amplitude create strong, low-resistance electrical joints without solder.
One HMI manages all three processes, simplifying recipe setup, production tracking and fault diagnostics.
